Early 20th Century, people in Ho Chi Minh City saw a chain of convenience stores called "Masan Mart Convenience Store". However, after 7 months of operation, the stores were quietly shut down. It marked the failure of Japanese Seven – Eleven corporation to enter Vietnamese market. At present, many foreign retail enterprise are ready to enter conquer Vietnamese retail market when Vietnam fully opens its market.
